Why are you buying the next version in the 2k series....
Here's my reason:
I think that the 2k series has completely overhaul the controls, Gameplay, Classic Rosters. I also think that graphics accessories and others have been upgraded to the point were nba 2k11 is unplayable. They have literary taken the greatest video game ever and made even better to the point were the lines in your local gamestop are going to be warped around the building to get this new installment of the 2k series. So what are your reasons to buying the new installment...

Pretty much same reasons as you! I mean i feel every year 2k really steps their game up and puts out the best authentic product they can and it shows! Nba 2k11 was great but already seems 2k12 is greater! I really wish 2k could make another football game is a shame!

2K cant bring out another NFL series until 2015 because EA Sports bought the license from the NFL exclusively......which means no other game can display or use NFL players and teams but EA.......they were so scared of NFL2K5 (which by the way was the best visual football game ever created) that they had to make this move

@Bangtai. First, EA did nothing but outbid 2K for the exclusive rights to the NFL license. The NFL chose to go exclusive. Old, old, old news.
I am not a fan of exclusivity but if you own a company and can obtain sole rights to a hot license which is sure to net you hundreds of millions of dollars who wouldnt go for it?
As a fan of games and not publishers exclusivity has killed spirts games. Although I enjoy Madden I feel competition and options are good for all.
As far as 2K 12 goes, I am waiting to buy it when the lockout ends. Most likely get it used at that point.

I agree with Eski33 on like everything lol. Madden outbid 2k for it cause they obviously have/had the most money to spend. Madden is a pretty good game. A little behind yeah but I don't think 2k football would be as good as ppl think. All pro was terrible. And I enjoyed madden 05 alot more then 2k5. But that said I'm also waiting for lockout to end. I use cavs and they just got 2 of the top 4 draft picks and I'm not re creating all of them. It seems pretty smooth and graphics are nice. I don't like the right stick shooting for hopsteps etc but it's still pretty decent anyways. It's a $40 game, post lockout for this guy lol

# 5 Love The Lancer Are you really comparing all pro 2k8 to what nfl 2k12 or etc would be like today? Just look at nba 2k series do you really not feel if 2k was making an nfl game it wouldnt be ahead of madden. Not that im a fanboy b/c all I really want is and accurate realistic football game. All pro is better than madden 12 as far as true aspects and fundementals of football ball go. 2k seems to get all the little things right that EA tends to miss yr after year again imo. I respect your views just wondering why you think 2k football game wouldnt be great, b/c again all pro football was their first effort of a game on next gen consoles. All pro def wasnt perfect but it was a great sim game of football. Anyway again Nba 2k12 is a day one buy for me rookies or no rookies lockout or not b/c it will be one hell of a solid game!

Buying 2K12 not only because it captures the game of basketball so well but also to show my continued support for the franchise. With the work that Visual Concepts and 2K puts into their NBA game I am now glad that they can't make a NFL 2K game.

Jamake1005 yes bc they had a couple years to create all pro 2k8 and madden has to come out every year. And don't get that long to do things in a 9 month cycle. Don't get me wrong maddens starting to get stale for me and I don't plan on buying 13 unless they revamp the game somehow which they prob won't. But I never liked any 2k football game and when it comes to football games I always thought madden prevailed over them. Without the competition madden don't do a whole lot but when they had it they excelled. And NBA 2k are great games, but basketball sim and football sim are wayyyy different. It's much easier to make a true NBA game then a NFL game. And it really only takes one game to make ppl go wow. Like 2k11. 2k10 was alright but ppl didn't say it was great till 11. So it really only takes one and we can hope madden re does there game, and has a wow factor. If not there's gonna be a decline like madden 11 had

I love having a current nba roster with the legends and doing a fantasy draft. I love to see what Shaq would do against Kareem, Melo against Dr. J. etc......

@buickbeast exactly what you said especially about them "NOT" just trying to sell their name...i mean ea sports as far as madden goes is far past its prime
